Met up with Joey at 3:30 am in Garfield.
1.5 hrs later we arrived in the Hampton Bays
We boarded the Boat and set up in the stern.
About a half hour later the boat starting filling up !
Dock lines off at 6:40 am.
Capt James gets on the speaker & says we had 2000 fish yesterday lets see if we can catch as many today.
After an 1.5 hr boat ride Capt James set up on the 1st piece.
As soon as you dropped down you were hooked up.
The 2nd SeaBass I swung in was 5 lbs.
We bailed the Seabass & Scup for 2.5 hrs.
Conditions started getting bad so Capt James pulled anchor and we made a move west (closer to Shinnecock inlet) and set out the anchors.Once again it was drop & Reel Fishing.
At 3 pm the Captain said it's time to go.
The 4 mates started cleaning fish at 10:30 am & they were still cutting fish when we docked.
Mate Joe goes into my Cooler & takes my 5 lb Seabass out & put's the fish on the pool scale.
He walked around the railed boat and my fish ended up taking 1st place in the Pool.
Cha Ching
As most of you know I fish on lots of different boats but the 4 mates that worked the deck were some of the hardest working mates I ever witnessed !!
Great Boat & Great Crew !!
Good Times !!!
