« on: October 17, 2012, 04:37:57 PM »
I'm surf fishing in north beach haven & I'm landing 1-3.lbs blues. The water is 63*. I hope when it hits the 50's the Bass show their faces.

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Just like you, we're all pretty much waiting for the Stripers to come in larger numbers.  At least your having some fun with the bluefish. slt

Yea at least I'm catching something. I'm getting anxious for these Stripers. I only ever caught one years ago & it was 18", ha. I wanna reel in a big boy.

Anyone been down to Holgate? I was wondering how bad the beach was torn up in the bird sanctuary.

I'm not that surprised being the water goes from beach to 50+feet deep right there at low tide. That's the exact spot where my boat was beached and being beat up by wind driven waves a few weeks ago! Turns out that the exhaust flappers had dry rotted and fallen off the hinge pins and were in the bottom of the Y pipe cfzd Not good for a cruise through the really rough inlet that day rgmn
