Oct 26 off the hook
« on: October 26, 2012, 11:06:36 PM »
Headed out around 930am ran over to shrewsberry, sea robins. headed over twards were all the boats were and had some fun with the porgies then thought i got snagged on the bottom, turned out to be a 5 foot eel. went over by ambrose, nothing. Headed back tward the beach. Drifting eel. Old man picked up the first striper, I got the second one on Berkley Gulp Alive eel. Lost one that was a lot bigger then then other ones. Snapped 40# line. Did the same drift a couple more times with a weak fish and a blue to close out the day. Got back to the dock at 7pm. Finaly a trip were the old man caught a bigger fish then me. I know it has been bothering him all summer.

Update: eel weighed in at 7 lbs 10 oz.

The secret to catching fish is, to fish, where the fish are.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!
