Wire Line To Mono Knot

What is the best connection / knot for the mono to  wire line for trolling?

I have Ultra Soft Monel, I'm going to back with 60lb mono.

Best connection?  Throw it away and stay with the braid.  Wire line is soooooo 1980s.

  I've read braid will do fine. I'm sure it doesn't sink like wire.

trolling bunker spoons with wire line, Is still the right way to go.. to get the spoon to the proper depth without using large weights and having to hand line 30 feet to get the fish to the boat.

I make a 2-2.5" loop in the wire using a haywire twist then use an albright knot to secure the mono.
I have also seen guys use a surgeon's knot to put a loop in the mono and then loop that through the wire loop twice.  I have not tried the second method yet but it seem to be a bit easier to rig in a pinch.

Reel McCoy is doing the same as me and works great you can also use a little wind on swivel.Rod stop by with your gear and will tie it up.PS I'm sooo 80s i like wire line.
