Got to the boat later in the AM, shot across the bay to double creek. Some bouy's are still not where they are supposed to be. Saw zero debris. Went to Bobby's for fuel and headed for the inlet.
Was thinking wow, theres alot of guys drifting the inlet. Looked for a few minutes, not seeing anything headed on out.
Thats when i figured out why everyone was chillaxing in the inlet. Had to be 4+'s rolling into the inlet from the NE.
Broke through the slop figuring it would calm down outside the inlet and the tide against wind conditions that always churn BI up.
Got about a mile out chugging along through the 4+'s with what had to be 6' or betters rolling around out there, just to keep it interesting.
Was marking a lot of bait, and fish. Conditions where difficult, no hook ups.
Tucked my tail in and went back to the inlet with the fleet. Tried casting shads, ronz's and a plug at the rocks with no takers. Current was ripping out pretty hard.
Shot back across a flat bay to the slip and called it quits for the day.
Shame,,, I was truly hoping for a nice day on the water as it may just be the last trip for the year.
