The show must go on! We had a scheduled charter on Sunday that unfortunately got canceled due to mechanical problem. We were all jacked to sail with Capt Chad but a late call on Saturday came into Tbone that the Tagged Fish was out of commission with a bad water pump. Hope you get the fix in quick Chad and best of luck!
We ended up loading the ZO with the intended goods and an intact crew minus Nick. Kooz, Capt Don jr, Doggie and Tbone filled out the group. Conditions were not too bad running out and after setting up, we started picking right away. The NE came in a bit with a little honk and 3-4 bumped us on the hook with short periods. Tough to keep the metal steady so you had to be fairly quick on the taps today. Soft bait proved to be easier on the feel and a couple of nice fish were put in the tank.
Doggie had consistent action and it was good to see. He also had the bonus fish for the day a nice 15lb striper!
Tbone, after much belly aching about the rules for the pool, "it sounds to complicated. I just want to fish" didn't mind collecting the $100 bucks with real sweet 6.5 lb blackie. Nice job T!
Everyone else made their donations including a couple ling, silver eels and tog.
Capt Don's hot pistol got chilled today but he still had some action. You knew it couldn't go 4 for 4 but no doubt he amp up the game.
Kooz was typical Kooz with on board entertainment including a little jingle about our trip to the tune of "Rocky Racoon". The boy is a classic.
Fished the wind, the rain and overall had a good day. Ended up with 21 blackies to 6.5, 1 striper, 4 ling and 2 silvers for the Kooz's portuguese neighbor.
Sometimes you just have to take a rain check
