This weekend will start off dry and sunny and begin to switch over Saturday Night.  Saturday Night through Sunday will have good chances of rain with these chances extending into the beginning of the week.  Saturday Night's rain showers could be snow showers or flurries in interior areas of the state.  High temperatures will reach the lower 50's with lows down into the 30's at night.  Water conditions are rated good for all locations.  Winds will be out of the north around 10 knots on Saturday with seas 2-3 feet. Sunday winds will switch to the SSE at 15-18 knots with seas 2-3 feet.  Surf conditions will be normal with waves 1-2 feet.

Talk of a coastal storm/nor'easter with snow for sometime around December 19th is out there.  The models have and will go back and forth on this.  This far out is way too soon to know what we will get here.  What we get depends on what develops and where it develops as well as the track.  A track closer to the coast brings the possibility of snow to inland NJ and PA.  A track farther out to sea could bring more snow to more of NJ including the coast.  Too far off the coast and NJ sees nothing at all.  So, we could get something or it could be nothing.  I will keep you updated as it gets closer or as models trend and agree.

High Pressure to our north will push a dry backdoor cold front through the region on Saturday.  A strong low pressure system over the Plains will move into the Great Lakes pushing the cold front to our south back north as a warm front.  The cold front will then move through by Sunday Night while another low pressure system forms along the frontal boundary to our south.
