Ready to learn
« on: October 29, 2012, 09:12:09 PM »
I have been going to Indian River (Delaware) with my uncle for a few years now. I always have used his rods and want to branch out and buy my own rod. I think my family will be making yearly trips to Wildwood Crest in mid June where I want to start to fish. Any great places to fish near Wildwood Crest? Any thought on where I can get some used tackle? What is the difference between a regular salt water rod and surf fishing rod? Is there a rod that can be used for regular ol salt water fishing and surf fishing to kill 2 birds with one stone? I would be looking to spend around $100 for the rod. Any help is appreciated! I have been perusing this site for a few hours (while hurricane Sandy is pounding on my Lancaster County door) and am very happy with the site's info.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!

Welcome aboard. I am sure after everything settles down from the storm that just passed you will be getting answers to your questions.
