A ferry crashed into a dock in lower Manhattan this morning -- injuring several people onboard, authorities said.

Someone should have gave the captain a lesson in docking. Hope every one is ok

 whs    Docking can get tricky under different circumstances.

Crazy... It mentioned they hit a buoy about 40yds away before hitting the dock. Perhaps that played into it? I guess we'll wait for the NTSB or USCG report....

1 report says they hit dack a...then travelled into dock b....who the hell knows....bad day for sea streak tho.
Depending who it was, i may know the Captain and he is very good if it turns out to be him....but who knows what the heck went wrong.

I heard that the captains of the boat have been complaining about the maneuverability of the boat since the rehabbed it. Reportedly the removed 15,000 lbs from the vessel and changed the thrusters to props
