Virgina Beach or the Bay Bridge. Lake Gaston on the NC/VA border for some freshwater species.

Fred, fishing the "Kristy Marie" from Manasquan River Club. Channels 16/67/68.

Not sure where. But I hear Blackfishing in Va is insane.

Good luck. t^

I now live in NC, but lived in the area of the Shenandoah Valley area for three years.....  I'll give you run down on your options.....  Off to your west in Franklin, WV there use to be great trout river this was about 15 years ago.  to your south you have smith mountain lake with fresh water stripers, mostly caught slow trolling live bait in spring and summer, trolling small u-rigs and 6 inch swim shads (with inline planer boards) will produce striper in the fall. I highly suggest fishing a striper club on SML and hire a couple of guides on SML.  To your east, you have the ches bay;  your smorgasboard for flounder, striper, taug, cobia, spade fish, and striper.  Hope this helps....

The Bay Bridge Tunnel system has a fantastic fishing pier close to the Va. side that is 3 miles out into the bay.  You can catch just about anything out there just check the seasons.

There are cleaning stations on the pier and if you forgot your bait you can purchase some there as well.  I would suggest you bring your own though.

Happy Catching
