NJ Fishing & Boating Weather Outlook: Weekend Edition Feb 2-3, 2013

The weekend weather will continue to be unsettled with a chance of snow and rain Saturday Night through Sunday Day.  Cold temperatures will return as well, with highs only into the 30's and lows into the 20's.  Water conditions will vary throughout the weekend by location.  Currently, most forecasts are for good conditions, however Small Craft Advisories are possible Friday Night into Saturday and then again on Sunday, with the possibility of Gale Force Winds Sunday Night into the beginning of the week.  This is definitely a weekend to check and double check the forecasts as they could rapidly change in just a few hours.  Surf conditions will be normal with 0-2 foot waves with gusty winds predominantly out of the west.

High pressure will build to the south Saturday Morning.  Weak low pressure will move towards the area on Sunday and will be influenced by a secondary coastal low develops and strengthens to our east.

NWS PHI has issued Winter Weather Advisory for Middlesex, Monmouth & Ocean Counties from 7PM Saturday to 1PM Sunday.  They are expecting 2-3 inches of snow accumulation starting later this evening, becoming heavy tonight and tapering off by Sunday Afternoon.

They have also issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Mercer, Gloucester, Burlington, Camden, & Atlantic Counties from 7PM Saturday through 1PM Sunday.  They are expecting 1-3 inches of snow in these areas with Mercer County receiving the highest accumulations.  Timing is the same as above.
