Unlike the last few days, this weekend will be pleasant with dry conditions and warmer temperatures. Mostly sunny skies will dominate with highs into the 50's. Overnight lows will still drop down into the 30's. Water conditions will settle down and be good by Saturday Afternoon for all locations except midshore to offshore. However, despite the lack of SCA conditions, winds could still be brisk and seas 7-8 feet to start before subsiding 4-6 feet. Midshore to offshore could see lingering high seas and winds through Sunday and then a return of SCA's by Sunday Night. Surf conditions will be cautious to dangerous all weekend with waves 5-6 feet as high as 7 feet with high, rough surf and excessive beach erosion. There is also potential for some minor coastal flooding with higher tides.
High pressure will gradually build into the region as the large low pressure system moves slowly off to the northeast. High pressure will settle over the area before sliding offshore on Sunday as a low pressure system north of the Great Lakes begins influencing our area again.
