Hit a party boat out of Belmar for some toggin' after another trip was cancelled in PP. Weather was great in the AM, very cool but great ocean conditions and sunny. Catching was very tough today, about 4-6 total keepers for the day, a few shorts, some ling and a rental rod person who must have caught every dog fish out there. Unfortunately no fish for me. Got to try out my newly purchased rod and AVET reel which did not disappoint. Seas kicked up in afternoon as well as a ripping current in the PM, 12oz would barely hold bottom....here's hoping for another day out next week. Shooting for Friday if anyone wants to get out there.
