Saw all the positive signs this morning on the way out. Water temp was up another 2 degrees to 53, plenty of bait with some very nice readings to anchor on. Got set up and picked 4 shorts right away, waited for the change and some incoming as yesterday we had a good morning bite. Unfortunatly, that didn't happen today!
Made a couple drops in several area's hoping it would turn on, went in search mode and took a ride looking for the afternoon bite. Pretty much the same situation in the ocean with not much current but we did manage a couple keepers and some shorts. Had solid readings on the bottom, fish wouldn't chew, the ones that did were very lazy.
Tried one last area where I thought we may find a few since the ones we caught in the ocean had sea lice on them, no good once again.
Thank god we had a great group of guys who more than know the deal this time of year. Back at it tomorrow!!
