Left Highlands at 630 and turned into a strong north wind which made for a bumpy wet ride to a spot off Keansburg. Had two keepers and one short by 8AM, then it was all skates and a few spider crabs for diversity. Made a move inshore a bit but was not able to make them want to eat. An almost new Stretch 25 drifted by within reach of my net so I took that as a sign to go on the troll. Good sign...I landed two more keepers on that lure and my son got a 25lb fish. We left them biting about 2PM. Finished the day with 5 nice keepers (had a bonus tag). I was fishing near Capt Carl and spoke to Eddie both were having good days.
