I like a 2/0 or 3/0 gammi....12 in leader....bottom gammi snelled then a 2nd slider hook on same leader. Connect rig right above the sinker.

Octi's but 4/0 should be fine.Low rig as you would for blackfish.High rig with very short leader for Cod seems to be what I have seen work for some.Adding a little color (green) for the ling also have seen done.Heavy weights to stay on the bottom and keep your line from wondering into your neighbor also helps and not bad to suggest to your neighbors if they drift into your space if they are fishing too lite to beef up.Also, the best advise is not to be shy, and ask the mates to show you their favorite rigs, as they are out there every day.My $.02Good luck.
