Nice day on Raritan Bay, after the morning rain.  Bass fishing was work, but we managed 5 keepers after I had to correct the setup.

They had the drag way too loose.  We would have a fish on for several minutes and then would let go.  They had to be bass, as I believe bluefish would have been hooked right away.  Once I schooled them on how tight it needed to be, it was game over.

Thanks,   I'm fishing this evening 5pm to ? .  I'm gonna troll some spoons and look for Bunker in the Raritan Bay out of Keyport.

Tommy,  That is Ronnie Mulchen (sp?)  holding the pool fish.   Just found out on this trip that he goes way back with Eddie Hussey to High School days.  Maybe you know him too.I have fished with ronnie many times over the past decade, on and off
