Reel McCoy II Saturday 5/18 fluke report

Made a trip up the Naversink this morning fished a few hours of the outgoing and the start of the incoming.  Had decent action with mostly shorts but did manage to put 3 keepers in the box.  Final count was 12 shorts, a 24" 6.24lb, a 20" and 17.5" keepers.  All of the fish hit pink gulp swimming mullet on the teaser.  I had a bait rig our with killies and squid that did not get touched.
Ran into Paul-e at the dock who was just getting back from an open boat trip,  I will let him post his results for his trip.
Going to give the bass a try tomorrow.

Nice job Dan. that 1 looks like a nice sized fish. 3 seemed to be a lucky number as that's what we had and @ the same amount of shorts. Got ours on bunker strips and a gulp mullet. Thanks for posting about the bait, we were wondering if we would have done better having something other than squid too.

Nice job Dan. You did it on the gulp where as I could not buy a bite on gulp. We had all our fish on killies. ??? Go figure.
