Hi All,
Well ventured out by myself today it was a beautiful day about 2 miles inland but out on the beach the wind had to be up to at least 20 mph with higher gusts. It was out of the south so that was strike two and the third strike was the waves and current.
I first started down by the north jetty and jig of the jetty for a while with a black and pink SPRO with a pink Fin-S, nada. I decided to move up the beach and try some holes with an Ava-27, nada. Switched to surface lures only because I could, nada I knew these would not work because there were no birds working, they were all on the sand.
What I did notice a few of my new plugs fly funny so its time to get the drill out and add some B-B's to the bottom rear. I have tried this before with the bargin type lures and bingo they worked as good as the $20 lures.
I road from the jetty to A7 and no one was catching a thing. They all were waiting for the tide change which I don't think today will make much of a difference.
Here are a few pictures I hope you get the idea of the conditions out there.
Happy Catching
Paul
