BI June 9
« on: June 09, 2013, 04:08:12 PM »
Made a late departure for lack of wanting to get up early, so 0800 SeaChelle and I pulled from the slip.

Broke the inlet to some rolling 4'ers and went on the hunt for action. Found bunker in 30-45' of water with nothing happening. Live lined and jigged for not a single hit.

Tried fluking in 30' of water off old CG station for a missed hit. Moved to the BL reef to see what was happening out there.

SeaChelle got a nice fat 13' sea bass right off the bat, I got a 12.5"er I threw back as I hate keeping fish right on the line,,,, a couple more missed hits and that was it. Packed it in as we wanted to hit a couple spots in DCC.

Made a drift along the sod banks to OCC, with no action, moved to DCC.

Tried a few drifts and only saw a couple shorts being pulled out of the on water boat show that was in the channel by the wrecked sail boat, but again that was it,, no joy for the Reel Time.

Good day for fishing, but a bad day for catching

Also, got to the reef to see my gps decided it didn't like all my numbers I had marked for structure on the reef and decided to wipe them over the winter I guess fcp

Nice report.    t^

Next time you go to the boat bring a memory  card and copy your info from the GPS. You might have a little glitch in the unit.

I have a majority of them saved here at home, so its not a total loss. One of my more favorite pieces of structure I can actually find pretty easily again believe it or not.
