Had Skunk and Kooz out for the early morning excursion.. Headed up river to find the bunk but the rain did a number on them. None for us to be found. Stayed for a bit and Skunk gets his redemption for the past few outings where he laid a couple of eggs. He connected nicely with two keeps after Kooz went into fish whisperer mode and showed us the sign.... A couple of Pennsylvania creek chubs where a reasonable alternative to the strip bait we were hoping for. We had some nice drifts in skinny water dropping three in the tub with 15 or so others that went back because they couldn't cover the postage on an envelop. Not a bad showing for the 1.5 hr of fish time.
Made a break to the outside on the mussels and had a nice assault in a small pocket that was getting overlooked by everyone else. Poked our largest of the day 4lb 22" went into double time with the boys connecting back to back. Finished up at 1:30 after the turn of tide.
Ended the day with 10 nice fish and caught nothing but fluke today. No garabage fish at all.. Think that's a first.
