An enjoyable day off fishing the waters off Point Pleasant Beach NJ. For as much time as the crew spends on the waters off Point Pleasant in Off Duty, we seldom have the opportunity to fish because we spend our time attending to the needs of our customers. This Sunday was not the case. When we left Manasquan Inlet in Off Duty, we were met by soft swells coming out of the south along with a gentle breeze. When we arrived at our location, as soon as the first line went into the water, there was fish on. The lines were non-stop most of the time. The fish we targeted were sea bass and they were crazy, hitting everything we put into the water. We were very successful in using the small peach color Gulp and the fish had a difficult time stripping the Gulp off the hook. When we finished fishing we left the area and came upon an extremely large schools of bunker which were a welcome sight. Shortly thereafter, Off Duty was surrounded by dozens of bottle nose dolphin playing in the water. All and all it was an enjoyable day off.
