Need Help/What can I bring on a Plane
« on: September 26, 2007, 06:34:06 PM »
Going to the Keys in the Morning Can I bring my PENN 650 Spinner in my Carry On?Reel Only With Line /Without Line? Can I bring any tackle? Has anyone experienced any issues with this before? Flying from Newark /Continental..What is allowed if any?
Thanks

your reel with line should be fine in a carry on.. no hooks, no tackle with hooks.

you can put your tackel in your luggage bag that you check in and goes under the plane.  Rod, put in a rod saver, plastic and locking top, that also goes with the luggage...  the reel is good in your carry on.

no problem TT^

only reason I know is because I saw it on a fishing show. as nick said your tackle is fine in your luggage.

also if you carry a lighter leave it home and bring matches.

Good luck with your interview,  Just remember to think of the interviewer with a thong on and you should be OK.  LOL

That's scary Ped.  You know, I used to wear thongs on the beach...

He should've brought me along. And Joe that is a scary thought and too much info for me to handle.
