Ok finally here's the late report ..
On Tuesday myself and Sonia made a scouting mission. After a few reports and radio chatter.. I just decided we weren't stopping I until I found clean water.. So finally after a few miles we found the color break and only having 2 hrs of time allotted to fish.. Sonia went to work on them.. Going 10 for 10 in that small time slot.
Got the call late Tuesday night 2 customers both wanted to book the boat solo.. I made them call each other and agree to share the boat..broke inlet early and arrive on the grounds to see a parking lot of boats ..wtf.. No one there Tuesday and 28 boats on Wednesday! It didn't matter soon as lines were in, we went tight on a nice under. I made a quick turn and the spread got covered up in bluefin.. About 20 minutes went by and we boat fatty over.. Ended the day at 130 pm with sore arms going 17 for 17
Got home exhausted and the phone rings 11pm on wedsnday night, 2 guys from Long Island want to book the boat.. Lets go, unfortunately they didn't realize outer bridge was closed.. We got a late late start, arrive on the grounds around 9am.. They guys put a bet up of $20 per man and picked how long it would take to hook up.. Phil said 30 minutes, Jeff said 1hr and myself answered 10 minute , need to find that color .. Well winner winner 7 minutes and doubles ... It was another trip of chaos out there.. The guys got tired fast and with the forecast we pulled lines in at 1pm and ran for the dock ending the 16 for 17...
Unbelievable weather with unreal fishing . So much fun watching.. Sonia, Doug, Brian, Jeff and Phil get into a truly special 3 days of fishing.
Guys look for open boat post weekly and hope the weather stabilizes again soon..
Heavy pic post coming up
