Weather finally allowed for an opportunity to get on my cousins 33 Invincible for a tuna run. Got off at 430 from Bayville and was at Barnegat by 5. Sloppy ride out but the boat handled unbelievable in it.
Hit the fleet by quarter to 7 about 100 boats on the grounds. Got the spread out by 7. Lots of reports of boats catching smaller fish.
About 45 minutes in got our first hit. Boated a 30# fish. Spent the next 2 hours dragging them around until another hit a 40# this time little heavier nice fight. Nothing else until 1:30 and headed back.
Will certainly be trying to make another trip soon the fish are there for sure!
