Had a chance to splash this afternoon. Ran out off the Hook trying the channels and the flats between. Lot of activity 17 was the manic number today seemed like every fish we'd caught today was a 17 my partner Jeff had a hot hand early managing two for the table. We made run to deeper water but no luck. Running out of daylight I said let's go drop one on their heads meaning instead of a drift pull right on the spot we were hitting em well hit em in the head I did. Pull up on the spot shut the motor down drop my bucktail/teaser down and BOOM!!!! Yeah you know the hit tell Jeff we need the net. As she comes up he exclaims WHAT IS THAT? I shoot back get the F$@$&&ing net on that fish.... Pushed the scale past the 8lb mark at 27" put her back for some good Fish Karma! Beautiful ride back at dark and was greeted by two nice State Police Rangers nice to see the Boys out keeping people safe and honest.
