Hunter 2 Raritan Bay 8/14/13 Evening
« on: August 15, 2013, 05:57:34 AM »
Last week i pulled the boat to do some maintenance. After work I took the boat to the marina to put it back in the slip.  Scott G, Jersey Joe and Cashin met me at 6pm for a quick fishing trip.  Pulling out of Keyport the wind was blowing hard from the N.West creating some sloppy conditions. The water was still brown from all the rain and I figured the bite was going to be off,
We motored over to the Staten Island side of the bay to get protection from the wind and chop.  The conditions were much more favorable but we were limited a small area to search for fish. All we caught were Croakers.    The sun set a little after 8pm so we made a run for home back through choppy bay.
I will be back fishing as much as possible if work does not interfere.
       Good Luck,,   Eddie t^

Next time Eddie .Saw your slip empty ,thought you took the boat to Md. with you .Most of the fluke bite has been on the Knoll or SH Channel .

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
