Roosters Flukin 9-5-13
« on: September 05, 2013, 06:57:51 PM »
Drop and reel Sea Robins off the beaches of Sandy Hook, Tom and I must have caught two hundred of these pesky bottom feeders. In windy conditions we fished the false channel, the false Hook and beyond. The water out in the ocean was gin clear in spite of the outgoing tide and the wind, which usually stirs things up. Just before going in around noontime Tom picked up a 22" keeper Fluke, followed by my 23" keeper. Just two keepers today on Sea Robin strips.  Pete

Two is better then none.... Robins seem to be all anyone is picking up on the beach. I think the Ambose is the way to go. Every weekend I have fished a few spots that I've come to like alot and been pulling in 19 and bigger every trip. (hope I didn't jinx myself  thud
