I don't agree with the fogging just the cylinders..   Iv'e had Carb trouble when i didn't fog thru the carb untill the motor died.

This keeps all the seals and such lubricated throughout the Winter.

here is what I do.

Make sure I have at least 3/4 of a tank
Add fuel stabilizer
Run engine
remove fuel line and hook up Foger to bypass.

Fog engine until she stops running.

Now everything inside is lubricated and the foger remains in the bowls and keeps the carb seals fresh.

I have a hookup/male air valve that the can attaches to.  Look on your motor for one.  IF you don't have it you need to Spray it directly into the carbs untill the motor starts to die or does. after that..  just leave everything as it is on the top end/ Cap fuel line.

Do what Popsoul does.  He puts it in his front yard and makes a Christmas ornament out of his.  He won first prize one year in the Christmas light contest.

Heck if you set it up on its transom it probably would fit and it would look more like a Christmas tree plus you would not have to worry about water in the bilge.  LOL

The BoatSafe site has been around for years.  I followed it religiously when I bought my first tiny little boat 7 years ago.  Will use it this year again.  One of my absolute favorites.

Rod hit it right on with the engine, I always change my lower unit oil before putting it to bed, run anti-freeze through the engine, porta-potti off the boat and in the basement, batteries in the basement, anti-freeze in fresh water tank and in the lines, anti-freeze in the washdown pump........

I don't shrink wrap, I use an over size Blue tarp last a least 2 years and only cost's $50 as opposed to $100 for shrink wrap. Plus I just untie a bungie and can get into the boat and do work.....where with shrink wrap you have to cut in, unless they put in a zipper which is more $$

Bob - when you say you run the anti-freeze through the engine, I assume you mean through the cooling system.  Do you mix it with water in a big tub, or do you run the anti-freeze directly through?

I agree on the lower unit oil - I have always changed it when it comes out of the water for the fall.  I'm a believer in "the tarp," too.  On that warm day in early March when you're itching to do a little bit of work on the boat before it gets in, it's nice to just untie it and get down to business.

Dan,

You can by the anti-freeze system at West Marine (etc) it is a 10 gal plastic container with a hose system. You run the water through the engine, turn a valve on the system and the water cuts off and the anti freeze flows through...simple. Sometimes though it is a problem getting the siphon to take hold, but usually  now big shakes. TT^

Bob - funny thing.  About 10 minutes after asking you about how the anti-freeze stuff works, I saw a West Marine ad advertising what you just described.  I thought to myself, "wonder if that's what they were talking about on the forum?"  t^
