Responded to a post on the Hi-Mar Striper Fishing Club on there facebook page looking for some people to help out with a group of vets from Lyons Veterans Hospital. Capt. Robby Barradle was taking out the MI-JO II for some evening blues and what not. Left the dock at 3pm Got out to the Mud buoy around 4:30. Had some good marks on the fish finder right away. Anchored up and started a chum slick. Action was slow but steady for the next Few hours. A couple of guys were trying for Sea Bass and were reeling in a ratio of 15-1 on the keepers. As soon as the line hit the bottom the sea bass were on it. Blues were decent. Ranging from 13-16lbs range. All put up a good fight. Had a couple medium action poles set up with some 12# test that made for a good time. Everyone caught a fish and most caught 2. Had some good laughs with an entertaining bunch of guys.
