Fri and Sat we Ran 3 trips.....
Friday a.m. was Barry and crew from P.A. for the stripers...loaded for bear with Bunker,Clams,Eels and Worms....beautiful conditions.....ran around looking and found heavy marks......bluefish up top tearing apart everything...saw the bass below but they wouldnt hit....ran pretty far to another area but the current was way too slow for too long of a time....ran further east but we were too late.....a little bite went off before we got there...had 3 run off all day....great marks all day too.
Sat a.m. was William and crew from N.Y. Ran east again to the spot to wait it out.....again....great marks but no hits except 1....and again....the tide crapped and took 2 hours to start moving....ran back towards home and stopped at the hook....current flying there at 2.6 knots.....gave it hell but only 1 run off to show for it....again, great marks....
Back out Sat p.m. on Open Boat....Switched it up and we bottom fished until dark....Nice Porgies, ton of short Sea Bass with 3 keeps and a lone Short Striper. At dark we brought out all the baits again....including a couple of live Porgy....again, great marks but not a touch.
tough days but they are there.......
