12/1 Sandy Hook Stripers
« on: December 01, 2013, 03:32:20 PM »
Today we left just before daylight in much nicer conditions than we had yesterday for sure. Ran to the bass grounds and were greeted by a ton of bird life. Stopped on them and dropped the iron. Immediate action that lasted the good part of the morning. Plain jigs with teasers were taking single fish and double headers....loads of them....lock and load fishing....drop and reel fishing....whatever you want to call it.....only problem is they were all shorts. Covered some ground looking for a pod of the right sized ones but only came upon  the shorts....went on the troll to cover more area but still only found the shorts today....another easy 100 fish on the jigs released.....that was the last striper trip of the 2013 season.
We will be Blackfishing from now until seasons end(mid to 3rd week of december)...hopefully the weather will cooperate.
Give us a call to jump on a blackfish trip!
