Hey Guys and Gals,

For a little better than two years I have been really putting in some time in search of a keeper striper.  I hit it really hard last year in spring and very late into the fall up to around Thanksgiving without even a nibble.  Obviously I am struggling to shake the skunk   .  Not sure what I did or if I am doing anything wrong perhaps just in the wrong place or wrong tide.  In any event when I am so blessed as to finally land the keeper Striper that I so been longing for, I am thinking I may see about a taxidermist and have it recreated.  Have any of you ever done that ?  I know it sounds a little crazy but if it has taken me this long I want to remember it for lifetime.  Anyone know what they cost would be in a general figure ?  Thanks.

I assume you're referring to a replica mount.  That way you have the physical reminder and the memory of the fish swimming off to grow and reproduce.  
Get a few pictures and measurements and send her on her way.
Some feel it brings good mojo to release the first keeper as well as the first keeper of each season.

I will definately have to release it then since I need all the good mojo I can get, lol.  I will make sure I have my phone and a good tape measure on hand to document it.  Thanks.
