What's your 2014 season plans and goals
« on: December 29, 2013, 08:27:36 PM »
So what's your plans and goals for the  2014 fishing season?

In 2013 I got out on boats more then previous  years.  For 2014 I 'm hoping to get out even more.   Mostly for fluke .
Overall. I'll probably spend less time fishing this coming year.    I have several woodworking projects on my to do list .  I'll probably focus more of my time on that.
I'm working on downsizing my plug and jig collection.  I'd like to simplify how I fish and use fewer types of lures.  Just focus on a few  styles....SP minnows, Bombers, swim shads, AVAs, bucktails, FinS and a few poppers.  I already sold off a bunch of the custom plugs I had.

Good goals, Chris. You're always welcome to join me again.

My goals are simple... Get out and fish whenever I can. This might be a little difficult this one with the baby coming in February but, I am going to give it hell.

I want to put a couple sharks in the boat again and finally get my first tuna in the boat.

Fred, fishing the "Kristy Marie" from Manasquan River Club. Channels 16/67/68.

-Put my 11yr old into his first 20lb+ bass.

-Break the 10lb mark on a fluke.

-Perfect my wreck anchoring skills (yes, I suck at it)

Personally:

1.Take my daughter(s)out on a couple more trips with me
2. Catch a tuna of a lifetime on the FV-Tuna.com trip in June
3.Use the "new" boat as much as feasibly possible for some great Striper, Fluke and Tog trips to top the PB marks
4. Take 1st place in one of the many fishing tournaments planned to enter
5. Take the "new" personal boat to inshore tuna and shark fishing grounds to christen the deck.

Business:

1.Grow my jig sales by 20%
2.Offer more promotional incentives

3. Take my grand daughter on her first trip.
4. Everyweekend and once during the week!
