Went out yesterday for a scheduled charter out of PP area. We rolled out at 6AM and headed out to some deeper water to the south. Set up and not much life, few bites here and there. Then BAM! I get a hit, I knew it was the one
...the ONLY one, I would catch all day and a shorty at that.....had several other chances with some bites but it was a VERY tough day on the boat...2 keeper togs and a token sea robin on a gulp for the crew. Called it quits and made the way back to the barn...nap time. Doesn't look like it will get much better right now, though I did hear up North they did much much better and had some nice beasts on the boat. Could be time to kick back and start making some bulk jigs to have on hand and maybe a couple nice packages for the upcoming NJSWF banquet.
