Another wet weekend for most of the state (southern areas will be dry or drier than the rest of the state) and Small Craft Advisories and Gale Warnings on the water.  Saturday will bring no rain to significant rain/mix/snow from southeast to northwest.  Very southern areas will not see anything on Saturday, other areas will see rain or a mix clearing out for the overnight while northern areas will see rain/mix/snow all day.  These will likely be scattered or widely scattered showers, with more organization towards the north/northwest.  Sunday the entire state will likely see some snow flurries to showers or more.  Accumulations will range from nothing to around 1-2 inches for northwestern counties.  Regardless of accumulation, any wintry precipitation could make for slippery surfaces and hazardous traveling.  High temperatures will range from the mid 30’s to mid 40’s with overnight lows in the 20’s and 30’s.  Winds will be gusty form the west to southwest.  Water conditions will be Cautious to Hazardous this weekend with Small Craft Advisories inshore and Gale Warnings offshore.  Mornings may see a break in winds and seas, but will pick up by late morning/early afternoons.  Surf and beach conditions look OK with gusty west to southwest winds and some rougher and higher surfs.  Water temperatures are a few degrees warmer in bays and rivers in the upper 30’s, inshore waters are steady in the low 40’s, surf temperatures are in the low to mid 40’s and offshore waters are steady in the low 50’s.  UV Index will be Low at 1-2/15.

A cold front will move through the area late Friday Night.  Weak low pressure may develop on the front over the area as it quickly shifts eastward.  A weak area of high pressure will then briefly arrive Saturday and Saturday Night, before another cold front crosses the region early on Sunday.  An Arctic Cold Front will then track through the area on Tuesday, with cold high pressure building in for the rest of the work week.

Next week looks like a rain/mix/snow mess on Monday again followed by dry conditions for the rest of the week, right now.  Some more Arctic cold air will move in Monday Night with gusty winds through Wednesday or Thursday.  Monday will see 30’s and 40’s by highs followed by a drop in temperatures for Monday Night into the teens, then 20’s to 30’s for highs for the rest of the week with tens to teens for lows.  Wind chills could drop temperatures by 10-15 degrees or more.  Water conditions look Cautious inshore and Cautious to Hazardous midshore to offshore through Wednesday or so.  Surf and beach conditions will echo the water conditions with gusty winds, rough and high surf through the middle of the week.

Have a great weekend!
