Built/Building a light 8 1/2ft spinning rod on a Baston Steelhead Mooching blank for casting 1 ~ 2 ounce bucktails for fluking.  Gonna put my old Penn 420 SS reel on it.  Also bought a used Daiwa Lex100HL to put on a TBD rod.

A 7' Tsunami spinning rod I brought up from depths off Sandy Hook last October. Reel was shot but the rod was in good shape.
Good things come to those who bait

Builds and repairs rods if needed

I don't think the Expedition can handle anything else.  Just, making sure all the gear is in good operating condition.  I have a few more reels to go and then we will be all set for Spring.

Happy Catching

All the S/A's are going to get rid of their fishing sections as part of their new remodels.  Kmart was supposed to do the same but I haven't seen them do anything yet. They're both under the same parent company

KMART has already reduced most fishing departments, and they are also closing stores right now. SA has been reducing fishing the past two years, mine is down to 2 6ft sides with a few poles but little tackle and reels pretty much done away with.

I added a second Bogan wire line spoon rod to the collection, it should be ready next week.  Picked up a couple of 9er's tube and eel rigs at the Somerset show. And some bucktails at the Hi-Mar. I was able to service all of my reels while avoiding the snow.  Now I have to get to work on the boat.

Went to our local Sports Authority here in Pa. They down sized the fishing dept. big it went from bad to worse rgmn rgmn, with nothing on sale. I guessing it is hard to compete with Dicks that is a half mile away. Dicks really boosted their fishing dept. I picked up some more Gulp at buy one get one at half off. The wife picked up 2 fresh water fishing rod and reel combos said they were on sale for a good price at 11 bucks......what ever rods are decent might get a couple years out of the reels pawle
