Graveling Point, had an interesting night
« on: May 01, 2014, 01:48:59 PM »
hit graveling point on monday afternoon after work and managed one keeper bass at 28.5" and 9-10 shorts, also had a sea gull chase my bait when i cast and get caught in my line, i managed to set him free no harm done after getting to find out what a sea gull bite feels like, I then managed to catch a bunker that got my braided line caught in its mouth, when i pulled it in the barrel swivel was caught in the corner of its mouth, i threw a chunk of him out for bait but there were no takers,

clp  What did the seagull measure ?   clp
Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Busy fishing afternoon for sure!  clp Kudos on the keeper! First one this season? Those gulls can be nasty lil buggers that's for sure. Ballsy too; when I'm on the beach they literally will open up my bag to see what they can get into. Thankfully you still have all your fingers ( you do right?  :-\ ) Nice job setting him free too!  TT^

yes it was the first keeper of the season, and luckily it was one of the smaller sea gulls with the grey wings and black head so he did not take any fingers, just some dignity

Nice report,  if you cover the gulls eyes with a rag or towel it helps calm them down. t^
