5/7 Raritan Bay Striped Bass Fishing Report

Had regulars Chris and crew charter the boat for stripers today. Heard the bait bite was slow so we ran to the grounds and put the plugs out. Took a little searching  but we started marking here and there and the strikes started happening. Wasnt piles of fish or a mad dog bite, one here...one there....managed 5 keeps to 22 lbs and missed 4 or 5 fish.....threw back 1 short..... The weather was nice and the gang had good spirits today but I wish we had the ones we lost back today.
