Ran 2 bluefish trips today....in the a.m. was mike and crew (names were easy today as we had 3 mikes and 2 wills)...ran to the back in that hard NNE (30 knot gusts easily at times) and set up....got the baits in and before we could even start chunking 3 on!...that pretty much was the story for the rest of the day...nice steady bite in the slop of fish from 8 - 15lbs
Brian and crew were next up in the afternoon and we rolled out in flat calm conditions... Set up and first fish on in 5 minutes....steady pick and all of a sudden the wind kicks up out of the NE again and a storm comes barreling down on us (more 25-30 kt gusts) but the fish kept biting solid through it. Tide and Wind dropped out and so did the bite but when it changed, they turned on again with avengence until the whistle blew!
Great day of armbusting, drag out bluefishing on light tackle!
