Good weather with sunny skies and low chances of showers and thunderstorms with good water conditions, even with some higher gusts. Saturday and Sunday will be a mix of sun and clouds, however more sun than clouds during the day and more clouds building in for the night. There will be very low chances of scattered showers and/or thunderstorms, mainly across the northern part of the state on Saturday day, but some storms could pop-up statewide. Temperatures will be in the 80’s inland and mid to upper 70’s along the coast and on the water. Overnight lows will only be in the 60’s. Humidity will be moderate to high. Winds look calm to moderate and variable with a more southerly flow noticeable. Water conditions are rated good for both days in all locations. Winds could gust to 20 knots during both days, but conditions overall will remain well under SCA criteria with seas at 2-3 feet inshore and 2-4 feet offshore. Surf and beach conditions will be good as well. Surf will be normal around 1-3 and 2-4 feet with winds gusting to 20 knots. Rip Current Risk will be Low to Moderate. Water temperatures have warmed with rivers and bays in the upper 70’s to 80’s. Surf temperatures are in the mid 60’s to low 70’s. Ocean waters are in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s. Offshore waters have jumped up into the mid to upper 70’s. UV Index will be Very High at 9 & 10/15.
High pressure across the Great Lakes will build across the Mid Atlantic on Friday and remain across the area through Sunday. The high will move off the coast on Monday, allowing low pressure to move across Southern Canada and into the Western Great Lakes. A cold front associated with this low will affect the region toward the middle of next week.
Next week will start off dry and then by Wednesday chances of showers and/or thunderstorms will return through Friday. Temperatures will continue in the 80’s with lows in the 60’s and 70’s. Water, surf and beach conditions look good right now. Winds could increase towards the beginning and then the middle of the week as high pressure moves off the coast.
The Atlantic tropics are quiet and an area in the East Pacific is being watched. Saharan Dust has blanketed much of the Atlantic Basin Atmosphere making conditions unfavorable for any type of tropical or even thunderstorm development.
Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
