Raritan bay evening 8-6-14 Fluking
« on: August 07, 2014, 05:58:48 AM »
Took a quick ride on the Hallie Loren after work with Jersey Joe, Cashin, Mass Baster Steve and his Girlfriend Candice.  Pulled out of Keyport at 6pm to a flat bay and outgoing tide. With sunset quickly approaching around 8:10pm we decided to stay inside and fish by the ammo pier.
First drop produced 5 Fluke, 1 keeper. Chris was using live snapper but had no takers. His fish were caught on the gulp teaser above the snapper. We repeated the drift and caught shorts.  A few moves to different spots and more shorts were caught.  Lines up at 8:30pm.  Great sunset and good times. chrz chrz
The keeper was kept in the livewell and released on the way to port.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
