Went out this past Friday with the wife (her first "offshore" trip, my brother-in-law Ralph, and coworker Scott. We pushed off at day break and headed SE to our first stop and where we had the BFT last week. Like last week we found no life. We trolled all around and eventually headed North along the 30 and 40 line until we made it to Monsters Ledge. At the ledge we trolled through the pots for a long while, bring in one 8# mahi and Kristy's first ever. The mahi hit a natural cedar plug in the wash. We trolled around more until it was time to call it quits.
It certainly wasn't a banner day but, it wasn't a bust either. The talk on the radio was light with only a couple of boats reporting any fish at all. Until next time!
