rounded the hook at 6:30 heading to the mudhole.7:30 was 26miles from the point.saw schools of dolphins and birds working and tuna pushing water.pulled back the throttle and set the chum buckets.one minute later saw a huge mako free jump.pulled the buckets and made a mad dash in the direction.set the chum buckets down and set the rods.5 minutes later had our first run off.was hoping it was the big mako.when we got tight it started dumping line.we took the rod to the bow seat and was being towed.45min later we got a glimpse of the shark,it wAS A 8FT PLUS HAMMERHEAD we got him alongside and cut the leader at the hook.never saw a hammerhead before.half hour later we get our 2nd run.shortly boated a 4 ft mako.long wait for the next hit my turn and landed 56in mako.we also had some sort of jacks in the slick and landed a dolphin from the slick on a diamond jig.saw school after school of bunkers on the way in.wat a eventful day on the water.
