Hallie Loren | Wagner's Fluke Tourney Sunday 9/7
« on: September 08, 2014, 01:08:47 PM »
I got the call from Eddie (Hunter 2) to fish his marina's fluke tournament.  With his recent boat troubles, Eddie wasn't sure if it would be ready to fish on Sunday.  Fortunately for us, it was.

Joining us were Mike (Sharkbite) and his friend Ken.

The fishing was good to great all day, with lots of flukies being caught.  The keeping was not so good.  Despite trying many different areas at various parts of the tide, we were only able to put two keepers in the box.  None of which were big enough to weigh.

Still it was a beautiful day and a fun time (as always) fishing with Eddie on the Hallie Loren.  After cleaning the boat Eddie and I enjoyed some food from the Wagner's Fluke Tournament Barbeque before heading home.

It certainly wasn't for lack of trying.  Eddie moved us all over looking for the spot that would produce some bigger fluke.  Back at the dock we heard stories of people catching a lot less than we did.  I'm not sure how big the winning fish was.  Eddie? :headscra:

Thanks for having me aboard Eddie.  It was fun! t^

Eddie, thanks again for the invite and nice job moving us round all day.  We had a great time picking away all day. The breaching Sturgeon show was pretty neat to see. We gave it our all trying to find them and catch them as well. Look forward to getting back out again and I'll make sure there are no kid's soccer games to get in the way.....
