out of the water? Is it temporary or for the year?
Its supposed to be a small craft advisery...your saying it was smooth....aahhhhgggggggggggggg I'm going out tomm. regardless.
I went out late in the afternoon with SouthPaw. The ocean was smooth. Had about a three to four foot swell with a lot of distance between them. Not bad conditions at all in the ocean. Wind was from the southwest and swung to the northwest. That usually makes for pretty flat seas close to shore. The water was somewhat dirty. Luna, if you go out of Shark River you can head north. About six miles from the inlet is the red church area. Some good structure there. Can troll or anchor on some rock piles. Stripers, blues or bottom fish. Another five miles and you will be at the Shrewsbury Rocks. If you are in Jackson with the boat, Shark River is a short ride down I-195. (less than a half hour) Launch at the municipal or Bry's and you will have a one mile run to the ocean. If you head south out of the river pick a wreck that was sunk at the Sea Girt reef and you should be able to hook up with some seabass and/or porgies.
Hey Nick,Winterize it yourself, not hard at all and save a ton o money
NickEasy to do, glad to help if you wish.......I always put the Blue Tarp over the boat, lasts at least 2 years......and you just losen the lines and can get inside to do some work before the cover comes off if you wish. And the Tarps are cheap at Lowes.......
Nick, if you go with the tarp make sure you put some support under the tarp as in the way of pvc pipe. Make a frame for the tarp to go over. You do not want any water to pool on the tarp. You want to water to run off.
