Already the last week of September and the start of October. Not sure it feels like Fall yet, except for a couple of nights and early mornings. Indian Summer has held on a little longer. This week will have some rain mixed in and water conditions will go from good to borderline and even cautious with Small Craft Advisories possible. Monday will be dry, with a mix of sun and clouds. Clouds will build in for the overnight at another weak coastal low approaches the area on Tuesday bringing rain, gusty winds, rough and high seas, potential coastal flooding and rough surf conditions. This will stay through Wednesday Day before moving out. This system looks like it stays more off the coast and weaker than the last system, but it will be worth watching. By Wednesday Night, clouds will begin clearing with a mix of sun and clouds for the rest of the week. Friday will bring low chances of showers again all day and into Saturday. Highs will be in the 60’s and 70’s, pushing 80’s to start the week. Overnight lows will be in the 50’s and 60’s. Humidity will be moderate to high, until the cold front push through with some drier air. Water conditions will be a mixed bag this week. Overall, Monday will be good with overnight fog and deteriorating conditions. Tuesday will have fog, winds and seas building with borderline to cautious conditions. Wednesday will be borderline to cautious with seas 4-6 feet inshore and 5-8 feet offshore. Winds will be moderate on Thursday and Friday, but seas could continue to run high into the weekend. All of the marine buoys are back in operation, so if you are thinking of getting out, check out the conditions just off the coast. Surf and beach conditions will be good to ok…bordering on cautious on Tuesday and Wednesday. Winds will be gusty on Tuesday and Wednesday, surf will be rough around 3-5 feet on average. Rip Current Risk will be Moderate to High this week. Water temperatures are holding steady in the mi 60’s to low 70’s UV Index will be Moderate to High as well.

High pressure will be near West Virginia through Monday and move Offshore by Tuesday with low pressure off the Mid Atlantic Coast.  A cold front will move southeast from the Great Lakes on Tuesday and move into the Mid Atlantic by Wednesday with continued low pressure well offshore. A stronger cold front with an associated low pressure system across the Great Lakes will move east across the Central and Eastern US on Friday and Saturday. High pressure will then build in behind the front by Sunday.

A disturbance off the East Coast will interact with boundaries and low pressure systems brining rain and coastal storm affects to the region this week.

The weekend could have some rain chances on Saturday, but looks dry on Sunday. Highs will be in the 60’s and 70’s with lows in the 40’s and 50’s. Water conditions could be borderline for a good part of the weekend with winds to 20 knots and seas  3-5 inshore and 4-6 offshore. Sunday will be the better of the two days on the water. Surf conditions are good to ok. Gustier winds are possible and some rougher surf in the 3-5 foot range then 2-4 feet on Sunday. Rip Current Risk could be Moderate to High.

Have a great week, thanks for reading!
