launched at Sayreville at day break, took neighbor Jimmy who hadn't been fishing in years, fishing partner Dave was sick today, tried drifting eels in the river, nothing for me,Jimmmy got all excited as pole bent over and he hauled in a muddy pair of hanes mens underwear that were released with no harm.went out to open bay, biggest success for me an eel with multiple bite marks, moved as far up as 19 buoy in the reach channel and nothing, then was going to troll umbrella rig,at it for about 10 minutes and hung up and lost rig,I think leader slippepd from wire line, had hang ups before and drag would let go and would go back and retrieve.headed back up river and tried again by the dry dock, marking fish but no takers, everyone we seen gave us the thumbs down, except one boat did manage one short by the Raritan Bay Lighthouse.still a beautiful day on the water, headed for home at 2pm.
