Nice pic Mark. t^  Is your dad still with us?

I'm not sure Joe.  There may be something written on the back of the original, but I'd have to dig it up.

My father flew 96 missions in the ETO, so I suppose it was in Europe somewhere.

My father told me some interesting stories about that plane, which he named "Imagination".  Most notably was the story of when he was on R&R and another pilot used it on a mission.  He, and the plane, never made it back. nosmly

Strange how things work out in combat. I can tell ya one instance when one of our artillery batteries drooped a short round in HQ and took out twenty five of our guys..not a pretty site. Ya just never know. Is your dad still living,if so tell him for me "Welcome Home"

That's terrific Mark.  Good to hear. t^

No, we lost him over 22 years ago.  However, about 10 years ago, he was posthumously awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for "heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in an aerial flight, subsequent to November 11, 1918."  slt

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
