Thanks for the complements guys.

I don't know what the heck is going on with my camera but it's not taking great pictures.

Those pictures are dark and the flash is working, beats me what is going on.

Did you spool it up with power pro super slick?

You know I'm not quite sure since Bob did it for me when I purchased the reel.

Since we are on the subject of braid, I am reading a lot about hollow core Braid. What is the advantage? If any. And how is it to fish with?

Garlic Joe,   I use 80lb hollowcore on my big game offshore reels with a 200 yard topshot of 60lb mamoi monofilament. t^

This might help, I found it on a forum:
So I'm sure some of you have herd my complain in the past about hating knots when attaching braid to mono. No matter how great your knot is, it always leaves somewhat of a lump to knock the guides on a cast.

I started researching hollow core braid a while back and finally bit the bullet. It was an expensive startup since a good splicing kit cost about $100 bucks. But small 100 yard spools of hollow core braid aren't too bad at around $15 bucks a pop and will last forever since you only use a few feet at a time.

Hollow core is usually for HEFTY offshore fishing but they started making it in sizes all the way down to 30lb so it can be used for anything now.

For those who don't know, the idea is somewhat simple. You take about 5 feet of the hollow core braid, run your mainline through one end and your leader through the other end using a splicing needle, pull both tight and put a dab of zap a gap on either end or a wrap some fly tying thread just to prevent fraying. The hollow core acts as a chinese finger trap providing 100% strength without ANY knots.

I've been doing this for about 2 months now on all of my bait setups from my heavy shark gear, to my light catfish gear and will never go back to knots. Any setup where your leader is long enough to need to pass through the guides, whether its a shock leader, abrasion leader, topshot, whatever. THIS IS 1000 times better than any knot EVER. Its a perfectly smooth 100% connection

Only downside is the time, if something happens where you need to re-do a leader on the spot it takes about 5 minutes to do and you obviously need to carry your splicing kit. So doing it on the yak or in the dark is somewhat impractical and you'll need to bust out your knot skills.

I went with power pro ace hollow braid, and the power pro ace splicing kit and am more than happy. A couple other companies make hollow braid and splicing needles though.

Definitely worth looking into in my opinion.

Check out YouTube for videos on splicing hollowcore to mono.
